Is there room for God in your life?

“If you have it all together, there is no room in your life for God. But on the other hand, in your brokenness, vulnerability, and need, God finds you irresistible.”

In this sermon, the Very Rev. Samuel Lloyd discusses how in our world of instant communication, endless choices and consumerism, and the freedom to change so many elements of our lives, many people don’t find room for God in their lives.

During this season of Advent, we anticipate the coming of God, made known to Christians in Jesus Christ, into our world and our lives. Almost every day I struggle with being overwhelmed with communication and choices and information, and I find myself more and more yearning for the peace that God brings to us freely through his Holy Spirit.

This sermon is inspired by two readings: Isaiah 35:1-10, and Matthew 11:2-11.
